Valentine's Day at Devil's Den

Valentine's Day in NW Arkansas was warm and beautiful, crying out for a drive in the mountains and a hike. Okay... so I'm not known for my love of hiking, but Devil's Den state park was a pretty place to spend the afternoon. And the walking sticks?..., well for only $8.50 they provided a slight air of authenticity. The dam was built in the early 1930's by the Civilian Conservation Corp, part of the works projects from Roosevelt's New Deal to put people to work. Most of the stone work around the park was completed during that time. We had a nice afternoon wandering around walking by Lee Creek (the same one that runs by the RV park we are staying in). Jamie made me walk over the suspension bridge and took devilish delight in making it bounce to mess with my sense of equilibrium. She's cute and all, but she's mean. But then most of you already knew that. We hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day.
