Eastern Tiger Swallowtail

I really enjoy taking photos...especially of the great outdoors. The other day I noticed a pretty butterfly (Eastern Tiger Swallowtail) that was hanging around my flowers...so I snapped off a few photos. Hope you enjoy! And you will be seeing more pics, more often of the great outdoors!

Hope everyone is having a great Summer so far!

Golf Cart part 2

And here is the Golf Cart after we refinished it...Oh yeah...and it does run too...lol

It's A Golf Cart!

Yeppers...Parker and I bought a Classic 1980 Club Car Golf Cart...it was an early birthday present for me. Well, as you can see from the pics...it was in pretty bad shape when we bought it...but with a little TLC...we got it looking pretty good. So...for those of you that want to know what all we did...We tore it apart, cleaned, sanded, and spray painted everything, repaired a few tires, bought 4 new batteries, cleaned the front end...where the suspension and everything is...oh, and we painted that...plus...greased the zerk fittings...and you didn't even know we knew how to do that ;) , replaced the wood frame on seat and put new vinyl on them, and replaced a broken shoulder bolt. Now that was some work...but it was fun! Now we can drive it around the campground...in case you were wondering...about 99% of the people here at Mini Mountain have a golf cart.

Norma Jean's Flower Bed

So for an early Mother's Day gift....Parker's mom wanted flowers and wanted us to help plant them. Well...one of the reasons for traveling was to get out of yard work...lol...it was fun though...especially for me...I didn't have to work real hard...due to my back hurting...not intentional though. Well...we got all the flowers planted and I'm sure by now they are looking really good!

Cookout at the Parkers!

The weekend before we left Arkansas...April 26th...Parker's family had a cookout! The food and company were great...and after a big dinner some of us played baseball. Jamie should have stayed a spectator...she decided to practice batting...and then spent the next few days with a very sore back. Yuck...getting old. Micah (our dog) tried to play ball as well...I was able to catch a pic of that. Our dogs (Micah and Trooper) just love running around in the country...
The party was great and just click on the Title to watch a slideshow of Pictures!

Update

Hi Everyone! Well, I know that is has been awhile since we have updated our blog. Our apologies...
Just to give you all an update...We are back in Indiana for 6 months...and we arrived on May 1st. It was really nice because we were able to come back to Mini Mountain Campground...the place that started our Journey...including all of the friends we made there. Oh yeah, and we are so glad to be out of the mud hole that we were in...everytime it rained while we were at Park Ridge Rv in Van Buren AR...our site flooded and was muddy.

Parker is working for a nursing home in LaPorte...which is nice because it is about a 20 minute drive for her...the only bad part is that it crosses time zones...we live under Eastern time...and her job is in Central time.
I am getting back into the swing of things with studying...I now go to the library most of the week and study...I am getting ready to take my Microbiology exam...So, I will have all of my RN studies completed before we leave Indiana.

Since we have been here...we have reconnected with friends/family and have had lots of weekend cookouts. We are hoping to take a few weekends to go out of town...maybe go to Chicago or Indianapolis. Also, my Mom and I will be taking a trip to Arizona toward the end of September! I am looking forward to seeing all of my family!
I still have some pictures to put on the blog and will do so soon...we are using our Verizon air card and the reception isn't good...so...internet upload and download speeds are awful. The little (“can you hear me know”) garbage fades in and out all the time. But I will get the pictures uploaded to the blog...soon.
Hope everyone is doing well!
