Valentine's Day at Devil's Den
Valentine's Day in NW Arkansas was warm and beautiful, crying out for a drive in the mountains and a hike. Okay... so I'm not known for my love of hiking, but Devil's Den state park was a pretty place to spend the afternoon. And the walking sticks?..., well for only $8.50 they provided a slight air of authenticity. The dam was built in the early 1930's by the Civilian Conservation Corp, part of the works projects from Roosevelt's New Deal to put people to work. Most of the stone work around the park was completed during that time. We had a nice afternoon wandering around walking by Lee Creek (the same one that runs by the RV park we are staying in). Jamie made me walk over the suspension bridge and took devilish delight in making it bounce to mess with my sense of equilibrium. She's cute and all, but she's mean. But then most of you already knew that. We hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day.

Puppy Love
Well...about a week ago we transported 4 nine week old puppies down to Warren Arkansas. The ranch that we board the dogs at had free black lab puppies...7 of them! In case your wondering...No...we did not keep a puppy for ourselves...but Yes...we wanted to! That was a long 41/2 hr trip...when we first started out...the pups cried and barked for about 30 minutes...and that was loud. We decided to pull over and throw a sheet on top of the crate...yeppers...just like you would a bird. It did the trick...the pups settled down after that.
All four of them made it down to Warren safe and sound...Parker's brother, Wade...was taking a male pup to train for a duck dog and Parker's mom took a little girl she named Angel Bear...she is the pup with an unusual white mark across part of her face. Parker's cousin took one and Wade's sister-in-law took the other. After we got there...Wade and Stacy said we should have brought down the whole lot...um yeah...that would have been fun! and everyone really enjoyed playing with the puppies that afternoon. Enjoy the Pics!
