Part 2 of Lake Village AR

The other day when I took the pictures of our site and the lake...(yeah, I no, I should have been studying...I was on a break)...
I took some misc pics, too. The pecans I started gathering...lol...I only picked up 3 of them. The ducks enjoying the lake, Pecan Grove's pier...with someone fishing (I would love to be fishing instead of studying), and the tree stump at our site...Okay...well I think the tree stump is unique and kinda cool! Enjoy!

Lake Village, AR

On October 27, 2009 our "Along the Way" adventure takes us to Lake Village, Arkansas for 6 months! Parker is working in Greenville, Mississippi...which is about 1/2 hour away. Lake Village, AR is in the Southeast corner of AR...which is the opposite corner from our last 6 month stay in AR...the Northwest corner. We must really like to border other states...lol. Oh, but the funny part...is that we are in yet another old pecan orchard!! Yeah...more free pecans for us!
We have a really nice view of Lake Chicot. It is one of the largest Oxbow lakes in North America and the largest natural lake in Arkansas. It was formed over 600 years ago by the Mississippi river.
We are about 15 minutes from the Mississippi river bridge and Casino...well, I had to mention the Casino because we always seem to be near one! and yeppers...we will be visiting it on occassion!
The other great thing about Lake Village is the hour and 20 minute drive from Parker's family...that is great! When we were in Fort Smith...it was about 4 1/2 hours.
As for Jamie...well...I have 5 tests scheduled in Little Rock to be finished before Christmas...then I will be looking for a LPN job!!! Finally...work...with less studying...I will still need to do some studying for my clinicals...the waiting list is approximately 3 months...and it is one weekend! After that...I will be studying for my RN boards! Finally! I can't wait to be an RN...working...and no more school!!!

Trip to Arizona!

On September 29th, my Mom and I went for a week long trip to Arizona! I had a great time! I spent lots of time with my Dad and Helena, and my Mom, Brother and 2 nephews! I also got to visit with my sister Lisa, my Grandmother, Helena's Parents, and my cousin...Nick, Jessica, and Jackson...their new baby!

I finally talked Parker into getting a new Guitar! an early 45th Birthday present and she has been playing it alot...I love listening to her sing and play the guitar! and she is really enjoying it!

Cutest Puppy Ever!!!

Okay...Okay...so "Along The Way" also means being lazy sometimes and forgetting to update the blog. We will try and do better.

While we were still in New Carlisle, IN...one of the full time campers at the park had to say her goodbyes to her old time friend and companion...and older cocker spaniel. After awhile, She got an 8 week old puppy...a Dachshund...called a Chocolate Dapple...it was the cutest puppy ever! It was kinda on the small side...will only get to be about 7-9 pounds...but we loved the colors and the brown nose!
