Winter Storm

Well today we got the first taste winter weather...okay, it wasn't that cold and wasn't that bad. Monday afternoon through Tuesday we had over 4 inches of rain. Their was a threat of Ice for Tuesday morning but the temperature hovered around 32. I'm glad...if all the rain was freezing rain we probably would have had a huge tree fall on our home and no electricity. Late Tuesday night the rain turned into freezing rain, sleet, and snow...but it didn't rain all night. Because of all the rain...we have a big flood surrounding our fifthwheel, and this morning it turned into a frozen lake...
we stayed home for the morning hours...so it was kinda nice. Parker spotted a red-headed woodpecker and said that she hadn't seen one since she was a little kid. I don't know how she spots things all the time...I would have never seen it. I wanted to get a picture for her so I skated outside to try and get a good pic and take some pics of the flood.
The sun is supposed to come out today and it is supposed to warm up into the upper 30's. I really hope that all this water doesn't stay around too long...it really makes things a muddy mess. But, I'm glad it was mainly rain...about 45 minutes north of us is a complete mess...from Tues to Wed morning...they got tons of freezing rain and snow...they have downed tree and powerlines everywhere. Hmmm....so I guess we didn't snowbird far enough south. LOL
Well...enjoy the pics! and we hope to update the blog more often then we have been....Take care everyone!
